Bright future for farming, says President

During his Sunday surprisevisit to Cotuí, Sánchez Ramírez province, President Danilo Medina described thefarming sector’s future as “enviable” on the grounds that no other economicsector in the country has so much growth potential.

Once more he defended theimpact of the so-called surprise visits that he makes to communities across thecountry every Sunday. The president added that the country was experiencing aperiod of wellbeing with an ever-growing number of citizens emerging frompoverty and joining the middle classes.

“There is a growth in thepeople’s wellbeing. Every day more citizens come out of poverty and join theranks of the middle class,” declared Medina.
