IDB funds to tout Montecristi´s ecotourism attractions

Montecristi,Dominican Rep.- The National Competitiveness Council (CNC) through the InnovationAdvantage Competitive Development Program, has been working to position northwesternMontecristi province as an ecotourism destination.

With Inter-AmericanDevelopment Bank (IDB) funding as part of the Competitiveness Fund (FONDEC), theCNC works with Montecristi´s Tourism and Culture Cluster to attract travelerswith myriad interests and motivations to plan their next vacation

Quoted byAcento.com.do, the CNC stresses "the 10 unique reasons to visitMontecristi," a province which in addition to attractions, leads theregion´s economic potential.

“Dominican Republicstrengthens its position as a tourism destination in the Caribbean islands and its42,000 square kilometers house many attractions and resources to entice travelers,”he CNC said.

“Nestled in Hispaniolaisland´s Northwest, Montecristi province will attract guests who’ll enjoy our naturalattributes and culture since founded in 1533.”
