Tremor of 4.6 jolts north-west coast

Santo Domingo.– A 4.6 magnitude quake was registered 11:25 am Saturday with an epicenter 5 kilometers north-northwest of Villa Vasquez, in the Montecristi province, with no reported damages thus far, the State University UASD Seismological Institute reported.

According to the US Geological Service, the quake was also within 13km Las Matas de Santa Cruz, 20 kilometers Montecristi and 35 kilometers from Dajabon.

The tremor was located at 19.787°N 71.477°W with 12.2 kilometers in depth, and was also felt by the population in Moca, San Juan, Santiago and Mao.
