Santo Domingo.- The Leonesof Santo Domingo on Monday advanced to the Winter Baseball Championship,beating the Toros of La Romana7 to 2 in a decisive game played at Micheli stadium.
Starting Wednesday the Leoneswill face their capital city rivals Tigres at Quisqueya stadium, in a best-of 9series.
It´s the Leones 29thSeries appearance, with 15 national titles.
