US lifts agro ban cost Dominican economy US$400M: Listin

Santo Domingo.- The USgovernment has just lifted the ban on all exports from Dominican Republic´sfarm area of where the Medfly hadn’t been detected, listindiario.com reports.

According to federalorder DA-2016-03, the ban is still in effect on products from La Altagracia province(east), the area where the insect was detected.

The ban in products nowon the market and can be exported freely had cost the economy around US$400.0million.
