Authorities to run educational program for waste management

Santo Domingo.- Association of Municipalities of North Cibao (ASOMURECIN) president and San Jose de las Matas mayor Jorge Luis Bisono announced the implementation of a civic education program for the management of solid waste.

The program, which will be implemented in the municipalities that make up the entity, is aimed at replicating the experience of San Jose de las Matas regarding raising awareness and educating the population about waste management.

Bisono said the plan seeks to improve the conditions for the supply of the solid waste collection service through public education towards achieving a "Zero Waste" municipality. The plan will be carried out from February to April.
