US Navy secretary visits Dominican president

Santo Domingo.- United States Secretary of the Navy, RayMabus, on Monday visited president Danilo Medina in the National Palace.

During the meeting held in the president’s office, thesenior military official and the Dominican leader discussed issues of interest forboth countries.

In a statement the presidency said also present in themeeting were US Navy undersecretary Meredith Berger, international policy directorAnne Gebhards, military assistant to the secretary, Robert Smith and US Embassydefense attaché Jeffrey Opsitos.
