Dominican Republic marks Independence; Medina to address Congress

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina will address the NationalAssembly in Congress on Saturday, when the Dominican republic celebrates the 172anniversary of National Independence.

It’ Medina’s the fourth State of the Republic speech, whichinclude a detailed list of his administration’s accomplishments, including infrastructure,education, and economic stimuli via financing for small producers.

After his speech Medina will lay a wreath at the Altar dela Patria to pay tribute the founding fathers, and attend the military parade alongthe Malecon after 4pm.
