Caribbean Series: Cubans advance, Dominicans out

Santo Domingo.- Cuba will face Mexico in the semifinals of the Caribbean Series baseball tournament on Saturday evening after eliminating host Dominican Republic 4-2.

Cuba, represented by the Ciego de Avila Tigers, finished in fourth place in the five-team tourney and will go against undefeated Mexico’s Venados de Mazatlan.

Venezuela, second in the standings with three wins and one loss, will face off in the first semifinal game on Saturday against Puerto Rico that finished third with a 2-2 record.
