Govt. to allocate more funds for grape growers

Bahoruco, Dominican Republic.- NationalGrape Institute (INUVA) director Mario Perez and Agriculture Ministry officialsvisited the western province of Bahoruco on Sunday, to check the currentreality of winemaking in Neiba valley.

The Agriculture Ministry representativessaid the visit aims to help grape growers make wine and other products.

Perez said Agriculture would provide morefunding to kick start the grape industry in Bahoruco province.

"We have taken importantsteps, we made requests, we knocked on doors and finally see that the requestshave resulted with this visit which begins today,” the business leader said,noting that the funding will boost the amount of the planted areas.
