Pact aims to boost agro-industrial, farm exports

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic Export andInvestment Center (CEI-RD) and the Dominican Agricultural Market Suppliers (MERCADOM),on Friday agreed to turn Merca SantoDomingo and the National Food Network (RENA) into a platform to advance thecountry’s agro-industrial and farm exports to the various markets abroad.

The partnership aims to promote local and foreign trade by raisingthe volume of Dominican exports, to improve the Dominicans’ income.

CEI-RD executive director Jean A. Rodriguez and MERCADOMgeneral manager Claudio Jiménez signed the agreement at the MERCADOM complexlocated 22 kilometers north of the capital on the Duarte highway.
