Dominican airline clears ‘hurdles,’ starts Havana flights Friday

Santo Domingo.- Dominican airline Pawa starts SantoDomingo-Havana flights on Friday, local media report.

The airline has scheduled three flights per week, Mondays,Wednesdays and Fridays.

This new route comes after the airline complied with theCivil Aviation Board (JAC) requirements, and months after it began operationsin mid-August last year.

Pawa had denounced “hurdles” imposed by JAC president RogerJover in November, when the airline was notified that the authorization for itsplanned first flight set for the 30th of that month had been canceled.
