US$50.0M hotel in Dominican capital to be the Caribbean’stallest building

Santo Domingo.- The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino beingbuilt in the capital will be the tallest high-rise in the entire Caribbean, an investment ofaround US$50.0 that promoters say it’s the result of “yearning for more” of theDominican Republic.

Santo Domingo’s Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will have 400rooms and suites, a modern world-class casino, on an area of 33,000 squaremeters, whose 40 floors surpass the Caney tower, of 38 floors.

The new hotel, will be built on the intersection of Lincolnand Aybar avenues in the upscale Naco sector, and is expected to open for businessin December 2017.

"Nothing compares to the DR, the country has given us ayearning for more investment," said RCD Resorts president Roberto Chapur, wholauded the country’s facilities for investors.
