Big names, deep pockets flock to Dominican Republic ‘paradise’

Miches, Dominican Republic.- Celebrities from around theworld looking to invest and buy land in and around ??Miches, El Seibo province(northeast), have begun serious talk over the around US$2.0 billion Tropicalia projectowned by Venezuelan-Dominican mogul Gustavo Cisneros, who last week brokeground for a high-end Four Seasons resort

Celebrities like Brad Pitt, Robert Redford, Shakira,Ricardo Arjona, Beyonce, Jay Z and Julio Iglesias, among others, have visitedthe site with an eye on investing in the “paradise” centered around the pristinePlaya Esmeralda.

The "boom" in Miches is evident with coordinatedmeetings, appointments, helicopter flyovers and counter offers by the personalitiesin art, film, television and music, trying to form part of project’s groundfloor.

Outlet listin.com.do reports that despite that Miches’s potentialhas been known for years, especially Esmeralda beach, the Cisneros project’s unveilingcaused surprising impact. “Each of these celebrities has had a particularmotivation, but all have agreed in their interest of having a space unique inthe world, where nature seems to have multiplied its charms.”
