Frenchman in pilots’ escape faces 10 years in jail: Top prosecutor

SantoDomingo.- Justice minister Francisco Dominguez on Thursday said French nationalChristophe Naudin, charged with planning the escape of two French pilots, facesa prison sentence as long as 10 years.

He saidNaudin, extradited Thursday by Egyptian authorities after his arrest byInterpol last week, will arrive in the country early Friday.

Dominguez saidprosecutors will seek pretrial detention for the French national, and will be interrogatedas soon as he arrives in the country.

The officialspoke after the third ministers meeting of the Community of Latin American and CaribbeanStates (CELAC) revolving presidency.
