Candidates’ debates set, but the President to be a no-show

Santo Domingo.- The main opposition candidates haveconfirmed their participation in the debates hosted by the National Associationof Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE).

Meanwhile ruling party (PLD) presidential candidate. presidentDanilo Medina has yet to confirm of respond to ANJE’s letter, as prospects fadefor his participation in the debate set for April 18 at 8pm.

The organization said it sent a letter to all candidatesand those who aren’t on the list of participants is because they didn’t respond.

Among the presidential candidates who’ve confirmed thus farfigure Luis Abinader, of the PRM party, Guillermo Moreno (Al-Pais); MinouTavarez (APD), and Soraya Aquino (PUN).

Debates will also take place among candidates for mayor ofSantiago on Tuesday, April 5 and for senate for the National District andSantiago, on Thursday, April 7.
