Florida personalities to help build first tourist hospital

Santo Domingo.- Miami municipal authorities want to supportand coordinate the construction of Dominican Republic’s first tourist hospital,which in addition to providing medical care for tourists, will be at theforefront go develop and promote the health tourism niche in the Caribbean country.

Florida State lawmaker Frank Artiles made the statementduring a meeting with Dominican Presidential Municipal Development Commission chairmanDomingo Contreras, who’s also ??urban and environmental sanitation professional.

He asked Contreras to convey to the Dominican government his“intention to provide assistance and cooperation to the Dominican Republic tobuild and operate the Caribbean’s First Tourism Hospital."

The Dominican government official, who is holding meetingswith senior officials and legislators in Florida, thanked Artiles for "theinterest by Miami city authorities to provide assistance for the hospital’s construction.

”We serve as a channel to keep president Danilo Medina abreast on all elementsrelated to the sector," Contreras said, quoted by acento.com.do
