Top prosecutor announces arrest in murder of antinarcotics officer

Santo Domingo.- Justice minister Francisco Dominguez on Fridayannounced the arrest of another alleged drug trafficker linked to the murder ofthe son of a prominent journalist.

José Miguel Rosario Ceballos, the reputed right hand man ofthe notorious drug kingpin Winston Rizik, was arrested along with five others, andis to be arraigned in San Cristobal (south) today.

The official said Ceballos is also being investigated in connectionwith the March 10, 2008, murder of 1st Lt. Guillermo Antonio TejadaKrawinkel, son of journalist Guillermo Tejeda.

Ceballos was arrested with 325 kilos of drug during raidsin Santiago and the capital, where agents seized four luxury vehicles, US $95,000 and one million eight hundred ninety thousand five hundred pesos (RD $1, 890.500) as well as a gun nine millimeter occupied.

In a press conference Dominguez also confirmed the arrestof most wanted fugitive Jesus Pascual Cabrera Ruiz, wanted on charges ofmurder, money laundering and drug trafficking.
