American Chamber of Commerce lauds the ‘clean’ electoral process

Santo Domingo.- American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAMDR)vice president William Malamud on Thursday lauded the electoral process as ontrack, calling it a more robust, modern and transparent system than in previousyears.

He said technologically the current electoral process isthe most modern ever held in the country, stating confidence it will be "atransparent, clean and fast process."

“It’s a very sui generis election in the sense that againthe posts at the presidential, congressional and municipal levels will bechosen together,” the business leader said in a visit to Central ElectoralBoard president (JCE) Roberto Rosario, together with AMCHAMDR president GustavoTavares.

Malamud added that the visit aims to keep the Chamber’smembers abreast of the process and on what they should do regarding theelection.
