Good business climate: Medina breaks ground on US$7.0+ Hilton hotel

Boca Chica, Dominican Republic.- In yet another sign of thecountry’s good business climate and investor confidence, president DaniloMedina on Tuesday headed groundbreaking for construction of the hotel Hamptonby Hilton Las Americas.

The hotel to be built at a cost of over US$7.0 million willcreate 60 direct jobs will be located near Las Americas International Airport(AILA) at the sector La Caleta, Boca Chica.

The Spain-based Hilton Worldwide property of will be operatedby the promoters Dominican Developers.

During the ceremony, Dominican Development investmentpartner Luis Salvadó Morelló lauded president Danilo Medina’s term in office.

"It’s a country that has an enviable, commendableproject that we loved from the beginning. We said go, this country is workingvery well. I want to exalt the figure of president Danilo Medina because he’sthe leader and engine of this national project. This is where one can investand this cannot be denied."
