Santo Domingo.- A poised and confident Sal García, representingher hometown of Maimon, is the new Miss Dominican Republic, and will go to theMiss Universe Pageant.
The contest aired on Antena Latina featured local performersof merengue and urban music and even a string ensemble.
In addition to the crown, Garcia won wardrobes, photoshootsamong other prizes, in the pageant was held in the Hotel Jargua.
