Showers continue, increasing over the weekend

Santo Domingo.- The National Weather Office (Onamet) onFriday forecast downpours with thunderstorms mostly over northern provinces, asa trough approaches from Haiti.

It said the rainfall possibly heavy at times will increasesignificantly across much of the country over the weekend, except the southwest.

Onamet said flash flooding alerts continue, especially forthe central and northeastern provinces.

Temperatures will range from a high of 31°C to a low of 21°C.
