Opposition party calls for urgent meeting with candidates

Santo Domingo.- The opposition party (PRM) on Tuesday calledan urgent meeting with its directors and candidates for mayors and lawmakersthroughout the country, just minutes before its presidential candidate LuisAbinader spoke at the Sheraton Hotel to his supporters in the wake his defeatat the polls on Sunday.

The meeting is set to start at 2pm at the home of former presidentHipolito Mejia in San Cristobal, announced by PRM general secretary Jesus Vasquez.

He said the only candidates who shouldn’t attend themeeting are those in close races in their districts, who must remain there.
