Mag. 3.6 quake shakes Dominican Republic capital

Santo Domingo.- A minor quake of 3.6 magnitude was felt in Dominican Republic’s capital Santo Domingo, at 9am Thursday.

According to the National Seismology Institute, the quakewas 4.3 magnitude, with no injuries or damages reported so far.

The tremor prompted evacuations of tall buildings throughoutthe city, especially Torre Acropolis, which is designed to sway during quakes.
