Rains to continue

SantoDomingo.- Rain showers will continue to affect the country on Wednesday, ranging from moderate to heavy, with thunderstorms and wind gusts across most of the country, due to the weatherconditions caused by a combination of two systems.

Weatherforecasters say that the rainfall will be heaviest and most frequent over thenorthwest, north, southwest and border regions and the central mountains.

Themeteorological office (Onamet) is warning of flash floods, landslides, floodingof rivers, streams and gullies for the provinces of Pedernales, Barahona, Azua,San Juan, San José de Ocoa, Peravia, Bahoruco, San Cristóbal, San Pedro deMacorís, La Romana, Monte Plata, La Altagracia and Greater Santo Domingo.
