First Lady congratulates Dominican mothers on their day

Santo Domingo.- Dominican First Lady Candida Montilla on Friday congratulated Dominican mothers on occasion of Mother’s Day, which is annually held on the last Sunday of May in the country.

"Nothing is more gratifying as a mother than looking to the present and discovering in it, through her children, the result of countless years of sleepless nights, of dedication, effort and concern for the welfare of the family," Montilla said in a statement.

Montilla said the reward is even greater when it has been achieved without compromising "being ourselves, in full compliance with our commitments and duties," growing the leafy tree of the merits as women.
