Medina drives train of Santo Domingo’s new Metro line

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina on Thursday drove the train for the inaugural ride with passengers on Santo Domingo Metro’s new line, whichlinks the National District with the country’s biggest city, Santo Domingo Este.

Medina rode the train from the Eduardo Brito station in Gualey,National District, to the Juan de los Santos station, at San Vicente de PaulAv. in Santo Domingo Este.

Senior government officials, politicians and businessleaders accompanied Medina in the inaugural ride with a three-car train which pliedthe 3.8-kilometer route in 10 minutes.
