Secretary Kerry meets with Dominican leader in Santo Domingo

Santo Domingo.- Amid tight security US Secretary of State,John Kerry arrived at the National Palace 12:40pm Tuesday accompanied by State Dept.deputy director for the Americas, Mari Carmen Aponte and ambassador James W. Brewster.

Presidency chief of staff Gustavo Montalvo and Foreign ministerAndrés Navarro received the US official, who immediately went to presidentDanilo Medina’s office.

Although the press wasn’t given access to the meeting, Kerryis expected to hold a press conference at the Foreign Ministry, after the meetingwith Medina.
