Tropical waves bring scattered showers

Santo Domingo.- The National Weather Office (ONAMET) forecastsincreasing cloudiness and scattered showers late Monday from a tropical wave approaching from the East which has already broughtrain along the Caribbean coastline since early Monday.

ONAMET said the wave will leave the country this afternoonwhen some showers can be expected for the south region, while another tropical wavewill approach from Puerto Rico.

“This wave will increase significantly downpours andthunderstorms in various parts of the eastern region gradually as it moveswestward. The rains are moderate to strong being more noticeable and significantovernight and early Tuesday,” the forecast said.
