Medina gets IMF’s kudos on reelection

Santo Domingo.- The International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Tuesdaycongratulated president Danilo Medina on his reelection, noting that the winresults from his leadership and endorsement of policies that contribute to the country’sstrong economic performance.

It said the IMF is ready to assist the government “in theway that President Medina sees fit.”

In the statement “The IMF congratulates President DaniloMedina on his reappointment as President Dominican Republic,” the multilateral entitystated its confidence that the close and fruitful relationship between the countryand the FMII will continue holding fast to promote stability and prosperity inthe Caribbean nation of 10.4 million.
