Police arrest 21, seize drugs, motorcycles, illegal weapons

Santo Domingo.- Dominican Police reported that its agents arrested 21 people, including five arrest warrants, for committing different crimes in different parts of the province Monseñor Nouel and Cotuí (central).

The arrests took place during operational checks and at the entrances and exits of the municipalities of Maimon, Piedra Blanca, Villa Altagracia, Cotui and Bonao.

The police operation was conducted by members of the Preventive Police, Criminal Investigations Dept. (DICRIM), Criminal Intelligence Division (DINTEL), Antinarcotics (DICAN) and the Army.

The agents seized nine motorcycles, 25 bladed weapons, ten portions of a white powder presumably cocaine, two of a green vegetable presumably marijuana and an illegal gun.
