Exotic highland town hosts annual Festival of the Flowers

Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic.- "The City of EternalSpring" recently hosted the 7th annual Flower Festival, withthe Tourism Ministry’s support, to promote mountain tourism, create awareness toprotect the environment and showcase Dominican Republic’s myriad attractionsand benefits for the towns.

The Festival is an annual 3-day activity to develop tourism,commerce, socio-cultural values and preserve the natural resources, to ensuresustainable, ecological, and economic development of Jarabacoa, in central LaVega province.

The festivities filled Jarabacoa with exotic and colorfulflowers, enjoyed by thousands of local and foreign visitors with an unrivaled vacationin Jarabacoa’s characteristic spring-like weather, spectacular scenery, rivers,extreme sports and natural greenery.
