Amphitheater heads new sites to boost Puerto Plata attractions

Puerto Plata, DominicanRepublic.- Everything’s ready for the inaugural Thursday of the Tourismand Panoramic Park at La Puntilla and Amphitheater in Puerto Plata, built bythe Tourism Ministry’s Tourism Zone Infrastructure Implementation Committee (CEIZTUR).

Ribbon-cutting is set for 5pm headed by president DaniloMedina and Tourism minister Francisco Javier García.

The site is located in La Puntilla, near the San Felipe colonialfortress, on Puerto Plata’s Malecon.

The modern amphitheater, which will be Puerto Plata’s latesttourist attraction, is the most modern in the Caribbean, with a capacity formore than 4,000 people.

The facility aims to bolster the relaunch tourism of the co-calledBride of the Atlantic, attracting other market niches to the destination.

In addition to the amphitheater, the parking lot, the lighthouse,among other areas was also rebuilt.
