US Labor Secretary coming for Medina’s inaugural

Washington.- US Secretary of Labor Thomas Perez willrepresent his country at president Danilo Medina’s inaugural August 16, when hestarts his second and final term, the White House said, quoted by EFE.

Perez, of Dominican origin and one of the Hispanics in presidentBarack Obama’s cabinet, will head the US delegation expected to attend the ceremony,the White House said in a statement.

The US delegation also includes Deputy Secretary of Statefor Latin America Mari Carmen Aponte, and US ambassador James W. Brewster.

Medina was reelected in a landslide on May 15 and willstart another four year-term in office.
