More presidential appointments announced

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina confirmed viadecree 2013-16 that Héctor Valdez Albizu and Clarissa de la Rocha will remain in their posts as governor and deputy governor, respectively, of the Central Bank of theDominican Republic.

In the same decree, Medina alsodesignated Jaime David Fernández Mirabal as a member of the Central BankMonetary Board, replacing Emilio Luna Peguero.

He also appointed Gedeón Santos, theformer director of Indotel, as a Permanent Ambassador at the Organization ofAmerican States (OAS).

Luis Armando Asunción was confirmed asSuperintendent of Banks of the Dominican Republic.
