Biggest retailer opens first branch in Higuey Thursday

Higuey, Dominican Republic.- The retailer Jumbo on Mondayannounced it will open its first branch in the eastern city of Higuey onThursday, with the same proposition of value which has made it the country’sbiggest department store chain.

The new Jumbo store, owned by the Centro Cuesta Nacional(CCN) , is located on the of corner La Altagracia Av. and San Pedro St., willstand out for its comfort and attractive offers on quality and prices, to ensurea good shopping experience, said social responsibility vice president VickyMalla,

The announcement came during a meeting with Higuey opinionleaders and media representatives, where the CCN executives unveiled theproject featuring the store’s characteristics.

"This store was created by and for higüeyanos with astaff of 222 employees, who will be responsible for its management," said Jumbomarketing manager Cony Taveras, accompanied by other company executives.
