British Chamber seminar to mull future of DR-UK post-BREXIT ties

Santo Domingo.- To assess the potential implications of theUnited Kingdom’s eventual departure from the European Union will have on politics,bilateral trade and investment between the two countries, the British Chamberof Commerce in the Dominican Republic (BRITCHAM) is hosting the business forum"A new chapter in history: Relationship between the Dominican Republic andthe United Kingdom after Brexit."

The event set for Tuesday, August 9 at Hotel El Embajadorwill allow attendees to learn directly from relevant decision-makers and highprofile experts, of the consequences for the country with the eventualdeparture from the United Kingdom from the European Community, in addition toidentify future opportunities.

"The UK has historically been an important partner forthe Dominican Republic. Given the historic decision of Brexit, the BRITCHAM,fulfilling its mission to promote, facilitate and increase bilateral trade, hasorganized this important free seminar for entrepreneurs, professionals anduniversity students interested in learning about the diplomatic, legal andeconomic implications of the decision taken by the UK," said BRITCHAM executivedirector Francesca Ortiz.
