Highland town hosts master chefs to spur gastronomic tourism

Constanza, Dominican Republic.- The Ministry Tourism ishosting from today Friday to Sunday the second annual Dominican Regional GastronomyMaster Class 2016, aimed at further positioning the segment and spur localtourism.

The event takes place in the highland town of Constanza,central La Vega province, with guidance by the Gastronomic Advisory and Tourism’sNational Tourism Promotion Dept., the Advisory said in a press release.

It said more than 30 journalist from the various media willparticipate, headed by Tourism chef official Esperanza Lithgow and guest chef JacquelineHenriquez

“Discover the secrets of the Dominican regional cuisine,”the statement says, adding that during three days the Master Class will seek toshare experiences at Villa Pajon Eco-loge, where participants serve asmultipliers to promote the regions’ signature dishes to encourage gastronomictourism across the country.
