Showers, high temps, high surf

Santo Domingo.- The National Weather Office (Onamet) on Mondayforecasts scattered showers across much of the country starting in the afternoon,from a low pressure system and a tropical wave.

It said the two systems southeast of Puerto Rico moving westare expected to reach the country Tuesday and Wednesday.

Onamet said widely scattered showers are expected over theeastern provinces starting Monday afternoon, turning to moderate over all regionsexcept the Northwest.

It said the seasonably-high temperatures will continue nationwide

Onamet adds that a small craft advisory is in effect for theAtlantic coast and Samana Bay on higher than normal waves, while those along theCaribbean coast should remain in port.
