Dominican authorities nab drugs on boat, 3 Colombians held

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic Navy and theantinarcotics agency (DNCD) early Monday intercepted the a boat loaded withdrugs with at least three Colombians on board.

Sources quoted by diariolibre.com said the confiscationtook place in La Romana (east), and the DNCD investigates the possibility that asecond boat had reached the country along the southwest coast.

Thus far the crew of the boat docked in La Romana has been reportedlydetained.

The outlet adds that at least 15 bricks of drugs and an unspecifiednumber of guns have been uncovered thus far.
