Turks & Caicos announces arrest in murder of two Dominicans

Turks &Caicos.- Following the arrest of the 33-year-old male of Millennium HeightsProvidenciales on Wednesday 31st August 2016, on today’s date (Friday 2ndSeptember 2016), He was formally charged and cautioned by Detectives of theRoyal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force with two (2) counts of Murder.

The chargesstemmed from a complex, extensive and thorough investigation into the murdersof 26 year-old Yuneiry Veras who was found deceased in the Pirate’s Cove areaon Saturday 23rd April 2016 and 26 year-old Sorineido Moreno Arias who was alsofound deceased on Crystal Bay Road Providenciales on Wednesday 13th July 2016.

The man whois still in Police Custody and will remain until Monday 12th September 2016where he will appear before the Magistrate’s Court for a remand hearing.
