Official: 10-year old girl’s remains found, no evidence of organ trafficking

Santo Domingo.- The Justice Ministry on Thursday deniedthere’s evidence of organ trafficking in the case of 10-year old Carla Massiel,while confirming that the remains found 22 kilometers north of the capital arethat of the minor.

In a press conference accompanied by Santo Domingo East prosecutorOlga Dina Llaverías, Justice minister Jean Alain Rodriguez confirmed that theremains found last Aug. 16 are of the girl who went missing on June 2015. "Sofar, any evidence leading to any conclusions about organ trafficking haven’t emerged."

Rodriguez said the preliminary results confirm that theremains found at the location identified by the accused are of the minor.
