Dominican Wings’ first US flight marks ambitious plan

Miami.- Thecarrier Dominican Wings on Friday made its maiden flight to the US, where itplans to open operations to many american cities, after obtaining local andinternational licenses.

The first flight, DW 233, featured a modern Airbus 320 aircraft,which landed at noon in Miami International Airport.

Speaking before senior executives, guests and the pressafter the flight, company president Victor Pacheco Mendez expressed satisfactionwith the resumed link between the two countries, which he affirms will promote DominicanRepublic’s tourism.

"We intend to lift Dominican Republic’s name up highwith excellent service, offering competitive prices, efficiency and quality forcustomers, to become one of the region’s most important tourist lines," saidthe head of the carrier founded by Dominican and American investors, quoted by acento.com.do.
