Scattered showers through the weekend

Santo Domingo.- An upper-level troughcontinues over the country moving eastward, for which scattered showers will continue overall regions except the Northwest.

The National Weather Office (Onamet)forecasts seasonably mild temperatures for much of the country, cooler on themountains from the northeast wind.

It said rainfall will increase Saturday andSunday, with thunderstorms more frequent for the southeast, north andnortheast.

It warned that the downpours could cause floodingin urban areas in those regions, as well as Greater Santo Domingo.
