Thugs mug the Public Advocate, snatch her SUV

Santo Domingo.- Public advocate Zoila Martínez on found nodefenders Sunday afternoon when several thugs snatched her SUV when she was about to return toher home in the capital.

It all started when the official was leavinga cinema in the city and according tothe newspaper Listin Diario, the assailants intercepted and cornered her and tookthe vehicle’s key and making threats, escaped immediately.

"She was in such shock that she refusedto discuss the incident with reporters. She was nervous, but thanking God thatthey left her alive," the outlet reports, adding that Martinez wasexamined and is in good health.
