Medina visits areas pummeled by torrential rains

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina on Wednesdaymorning is visiting the main areas of the country affected by the torrential rains in recent days.

Presidency Administrative minister José RamónPeralta tweeted the announcement, but didn’t specify the areas which the head ofstate is touring. "At this moment we accompany Pte @DaniloMedina on a tourof the main areas affected by the heavy rain."

The recent downpours have caused seriousdamage to homes and infrastructure, mostly in towns of the north coast.
