Ethics chief to officials: no financial statement? You’re fired!

Santo Domingo.- The deadline for officials to submit theirfinancial statements expires Nov. 30, and those who don’t, will be left "outof the Government."

This time the now common warning was voicedby Government Ethics Commission director Lidió Cadet: "It’s already afailure, the fact that an official has allowed the term to file the statement topass."

Cadet said they’ve been flexible thus far butafter president Danilo Medina’s instruction, the officials who fail to do so crossthe "line of Pizarro."

"Whoever violates that Government resolutionis automatically out of government."

Public Administration minister Ramon Ventura hasalso warned that Medina is serious about the measure.
