Medina visits Santiago districts hit hard by floods

Santiago.- President Danilo Medina on Fridayis visiting the Santiago province communities that sustained flooding from therains of the last few days.

He visited neighborhoods in the sprawling sectorsof Cienfuegos and the Rafey, two of the hardest hit by the floods.

Medina is expected to visit other sectors,where bridges, roads and homes were destroyed or sustained serious damage.

The president arrived after 9am on ahelicopter that landed at National Police north region headquarters and fromthere on a motorcade that toured the various districts.

"We started with the Pte. @DaniloMedinaa tour of several municipalities affected by the amount of rainfall," tweetedPresidency administrative minister José Ramón Peralta.
