Santo Domingo’s Heliport will feature a terminal, 3 helipads

Santo Domingo.- Airports Dept. director MarinoCollante on Sunday said Santo Domingo’s Heliport, located on the seaside avenueEl Malecon, will be remodeled and modernized.

The official said the work will include constructionof a terminal building and ancillary facilities, as well as three helipads and parkingfor helicopters.

Collante, speaking to mark the AirportDepartment’s 38th anniversary, said the terminal will feature spaces andfacilities to provide efficient and quality service to users.

"This space will be focused on thepreservation, respect and protection of the environment, complying with allnational and international regulations for this type of facility, in terms ofconfiguration and operation."
