Gildan fundraiser for shelter for children with AIDS

Santo Domingo.- Canadian multinational Gildanand REMAR Foundation on Tuesday announcedthe third edition of the run/walk Gildan Glow Run on Nov. 12 to benefit theHome SANISI (Saving Children with AIDS), shelter for abandoned children inextreme poverty with situations of abuse, some physical disabilities, familyviolence, among other conditions.

Gildan Country Manager Freddy Barrantessigned an agreement on behalf of the Home SANISI, a center with 54 children ofwhich 29 are HIV positive.

"The GILDAN-REMAR Foundation alliance,especially with Home SANISI reaffirms the approach of both institutions toprovide orphaned or abandoned children the opportunity to have a better qualityof life, in an environment of hope, love and above all based in the word of God,"Barrantes said in an emailed statement.
